Before sending our guides a question please read the following:

• our guides are usually out on trips with tourists so they don't have a lot of time to check emails and respond

• during tourist season June - Sept when demand is very high they barely have time to talk to us :)

• we at Romanian Friend know the details of all our tours, since we created them with our guides. If you have any questions before making a booking or if you want to customize a tour, please contact us to get a faster reply, that's what we're here for!

Checking availability for dates of a tour

• the easiest and quickest way to find out if a guide is available to do a tour with you is to request a booking by choosing your date and paying a deposit

• our guides can receive bookings anytime, 24/7 - so even if they confirm availability via email today for your date, they can become unavailable the next day if they receive a firm booking from someone else - without letting you know.

When you pay a deposit of the tour price through our booking system our partner-guides will have certainty about your plans and you'll get a response on their availability within 24 hours via email.

If your request is confirmed your tour is secured in their schedule and you’re ready to go! If declined your payment will be refunded in full within 3 days.

Arranging tour details. Cancelation policy.

• once your booking is confirmed our guides will contact you within 3-5 days with meeting details, pick-up, starting hour, etc. so you can agree more details;

• if you want to cancel the tour and get a refund, our standard cancelation policy is 3 full days before the tour date. Some tours may be subject to a different cancelation policy and this is expressly indicated in the 'What you need to know' section page 2.

Joining an existing tour. Shared group tours

• due to low tourist numbers (Romania is not that popular destination!) and demand for the same tours and days, there are NO group or shared tours in Romania! - so please don't ask for this! after 2 hard years of Covid tourism is barely recovering

• except for city tours, most of our tours are private which is why we encourage you to request a booking in advance to block the guide's calendar

• if you're a solo traveler you'll have to pay more to cover the full costs of the tour on your own

4. Getting a long-tour proposal for a custom itinerary. Tours for large groups.
