2-Day Danube Delta & Birdwatching Tour from Bucharest
Our tour was really lovely. We enjoyed the full day tour on the Danube the most as we got to see the most scenery and wildlife. Our boat captain in particular was fun, adventurous and made the trip especially enjoyable.
The Black Sea Calling: Day Trip to Constanta & Mamaia Beach
Our trip from Bucharest to Constanța Old Town and the Black Sea on 11 Jan 2025 with Romanian Friend was an absolute pleasure. The vehicle was spotless and incredibly comfortable, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. It was a highly personalized experience, with our knowledgeable guide answering every question with ease. The door-to-door service was a big plus—we were picked up from our accommodation and, upon request, dropped off near Stavropoleos Monastery. A seamless, well-organized trip that made for a fantastic day by the sea!
2-Day Danube Delta & Birdwatching Tour from Bucharest
Our driver/guide Leo was exemplary in providing background details, translating the boat driver's commentary and explaining the local customs. The sand island tour into the forest was particularly interesting for we Australians have the largest sand island in the world, but despite different hemispheres and climates, the botanical parallels were obvious. A tour we highly recommend.

The tour was very well organized. Our guide Leontin was very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat trip in the Danube Delta was great, and we were able to observe many birds. The tour in Constanta was also very interesting. We can only warmly recommend Romanian Friend.
Road trip to Poenari Castle & Transfagarasan Highway
Our trip to the Poenari Castle & Transfagarasan Highway on August 2, 2024 was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Our driver Don and accompanying guide Elena were extraordinary in their warmth and making us feel comfortable. From 8 am until 8 pm we were guided by experienced Romanians who were skilled at providing us with the local history, facts and sights and sounds on this great tour. We were moved by the gravesite visits of Romania's monarchy as well as the long and winding road of the Transfagarasan Highway. On our way on the highway we encountered at least 5 bears on the side of the road. This trip was well worth the cost and we highly recommend that you take this tour.

The tour was great. Everything regarding the trip was dealt with very smoothly. Our driver/guide kept us comfortable and safe and shared some interesting information about Bucharest during the communist era. The parliament building is not to be missed. It is amazing. The Ceausescu mansion was also very much worth visiting
2-Day Danube Delta & Birdwatching Tour from Bucharest
This short tour covered a lot of territory. Our guide was friendly, informative and always helpful. It was interesting to see the countryside going to and from the Delta and learning more about Romania. However, the main reason for taking the tour was to do a boat cruise on the Danube Delta and it did not disappoint. We saw a good variety of birds, sometimes in the hundreds, and navigated through narrow channels and into and out of lakes. The small boat was ideal in size and the photo opportunities afforded from it were excellent. Thanks to Dan for being a great companion during the 2 days.

Alina made our visit to the Parliment building and Nicolae Ceaușescu's home seemless. We really enjoyed the extra time Alina took to explain the boulevards, monuments and the whole story of the revolution at the square. The extra bonus was their car was comfortable and they brought communist era chocolate !!
The Black Sea Calling: Day Trip to Constanta & Mamaia Beach
Alina, my guide, and Gabriel our driver took me from Bucharest to Constanta to see the Black Sea and Constanta old town. They were very friendly, Alina very knowledgeable. I had a paddle in the Black Sea and explored the Old Town on my free time. A very comfortable clean car, the journey was a pleasure.

My trip from Bucharest to the Black Sea was really good. Our guide Alina was very knowledgable and Gabriel drove us safely there and back. The guides provided for ample free time to allow me to out my toes in the sea and walk around Constanta. I recommend them for your visit to the Black Sea

Unfortunately the Parliament was closed to visitors but the visit to Ceausescu's home was incredible! Alina is. Wonderful guide and her command of english is remarkable. We will be heading back to Bucharest and may book another adventure through Romanian Friend! Thanks, Denis
